Question - Do jinn bother you in the dreams? I believe I have this particular type of sihr. I usually see about two hindus/black person in dreams and also 2 black snakes.

Answer

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “If one of you sees a dream that he likes, it is from Allah. He should praise Allah for it and he should relate it to others. If he sees what he dislikes, it is from Satan. He should seek refuge in Allah from it and not mention it to anyone. Thereby, it will not harm him.”
Recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari.

What you see in your dreams may or may not be the cause of witchcraft, however, if it is a bad dream then it is surely the work of shaytaan.

I would advise a few simple steps that will by Allaah’s Leave keep you safe.

Before going to sleep,

1 – Do Wuzu (wash for prayers)
2 – Make sure your bed is clean
3 – Recite
• Surah-Fatiha
• Ayat-ul-kursi (verse:255 of Surah Baqara) – Read its translation so that you may realize its significance.
• Last Three Surahs.

4 – Sleep on your right side, recite “Auzubillahi minashaytaanir rajeem” and dry spit three times to your left shoulder.
5 – Recite the Dua before sleeping, that is – Allaahumma Bi’ismika amooto wa’ahyaa – Meaning – Oh Allaah, In Your Name, I die and I live!

Remember brother, the strength and significance lies in the meaning of it.

Let us look at Ayat-ul-kursi,
“Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.”
How splendid, SubhanAllaah.

Whenever you feel threatened, simply remind yourself of the fact that you are Not alone. Always make sure you are in the state of Wuzu, if it needs a bath then do so aswell. That is your strength and you are to take hold of it.

I hope you get good sleep next time, Insha’Allaah.
If you have more questions, you are welcome to ask.

Wa huwa ala kulli shay’in Qadeer..
